Goooood evening! What have you been up to?

I've been spending a lot of time editing for this film bebe. I'm making short videos of each homeless women that was interviewed for Broken. There were so many different topics that the women talked about and their stories were so interesting, that it was hard to figure out what to put in the documentary. Sadly a lot of it could not fit into the film, so I thought of doing this.
I'm not sure when, but soon I'll post their videos once a week on the EFH Films Youtube channel.
We should be notified by a few festivals by the end of next month and sometime next month. We're super excited!!
I watched this interview by Jennette McCurdy. She has her own channel now on Youtube and was talking to Ethan and Grayson Dolan. I never heard of them but they were Youtube stars from an early age making videos.
The title of the video is "The Perils of Fame." No one really talks about this so I got interested in watching it.
I have heard some similar things from famous people, such as not being able to buy groceries in peace and not being able to enjoy spending time with their family.
Then the brothers were talking about the pressure of making content and thinking about their audience. Which later on they lost the fun in making films.
They also talked about how hard it is to draw a line to how much they should or shouldn't share with the world. And man, that's tough. There aren't any guidebooks for being famous on social media. Or for the internet world.
I think there should be a guidebook on texting to people because so many people out there have no idea how to communicate. And this would be for texting friend, bosses, people you just met, and texting while dating. Maybe I'll write that book one day.
So, Ethan and Grayson Dolan talk about that some kids can't handle all this attention. It can really hurt a kid's self-esteem as they reach out to a bunch of strangers' attention. Which sounds pretty weird for kids and pretty dumb if you're an adult.
Last night as I was walking home with my friend, there was a group of adults (possibly older than us). The guy said, "As long as people think you're having fun it's okay." Then the women said something like, "Yeah, I guess you're right." He then responded with, "It'll be fine, I do it all the time."
My thought was, "She needs to find new friends."
We're in a time where people of almost all ages are putting on a show for others on the internet. Maybe this isn't anything knew, but it feels like even if the curtain is drawn back, we act like it isn't a problem or that "It's okay, everyone is doing it!"
I try to put on a show once in a while (such as pretending to have a fun time) and guess what? I usually fail...and or fall. God likes to keep me in check, so that's why I try to be honest or do things honestly. And it could be that I'm a bad actor. People can see when you're being genuine or not.
Back to Jennet's interview, do you think being famous is worth it? Would it be worth your personal space, your personal info, and the fun times you could have with the people you care about?
When I think about it, if I was financially free I wouldn't care for being famous. To me, you have to be known and liked to receive money. Your product has to be well known by other people. Then the money comes to you. If I could sell one thing for a few million dollars (got to raise it up with all that inflation) without having to become famous, I would be pretty happy.
I can blend into crowds. It would be easier to meet genuine people, I can hang out with my friends, and do stuff with my family.
I'm already doing these things now. I just want to be able to afford things such as my own place, food, travel, and finance my own projects.
Man, the films I could make if I had a 7 to 8 digits in my account (☆^O^☆)
or maybe more?
Would you want to be famous?
Best,
Emel
